...I landed a whole set of cabinets and counter tops for free today on KSL! The counter tops are brand new and the cabinets are a little dated but not bad- maybe I will paint them -but now I can have a nifty laundry/storage room someday-
One good thing about living in a place infested with millions of people- there are great deals on craigslist and KSL. My whole basement is furnished with free furniture and we bought 1 year old whirlpool washer and dryer for $250 for the set! ok so I love a good deal- never buy anything for full price....never
oh and I burnt popcorn tonight...really bad- the bag was almost on fire and the whole downstairs smells horrible. I can never pop microwavable popcorn just right- but tonight I really blew it- I forgot I was even popping popcorn until I smelled the smoke...so ok...

Dang it on the popcorn! I've done that also but at WORK!!! And the smoke detector did go off, microwave all yellow inside, security guard had to come & see what was going on, put large fan in break area because it stunk... yeah, pretty embarrasing!! This all happened years ago in Boise. I'm glad it didn't catch on fire..burnt popcorn doesn't smell very good and I think deters you from making it for a long while!

April, congratulations on the new find. Sorry Niels' muscles weren't available when you wanted them last night. Sorry about the popcorn - it sounds like things were going too good... so something had to "offset it".
It reminds me of the finer things club when oscar yells at phyllis about microwavin and she says that the other microwave smells like popcorn.... haha
ok- Tami that is hillarious- I would just pretend it wasn't me and look as surprised as everyone else-
So how do I get the smell out? I have been venting it out all night with two fans but it is really bad still-

That is way worse than forgetting to turn the oven on!!!!! I never did like microwave popcorn anyway. Will the counter tops work upstairs? Just a thought! Hope the kids are doing better for you this week, and I am sure lad you have all those wise Clark girls to help you spend your money!!! Remember my favorite store? 2nd time around? Everything we owned at one time came from there!hahahaha
