update

I am sitting here at the hospital...looking at my new little baby boy. So peaceful.

But I am getting really sick of this small room...

and why does my bed digitally reveal to me how much I weigh when I lay down in it? Is that really necessary? Especially with the beds in the post partum wing...

on the upside or the downside (however you look at it) the food here is surprisingly good.

Kenzie loves her new little brother- wants to hold him ALL THE TIME.

Ju Ju...not so much. Her words last night as I was feeding him, "I don't like baby, let's throw him in the garbage"

She needs a lot of extra love and attention right now. Oh my Ju Ju.

Still no name for the baby...getting there...

I just witnessed a circumcision. That was so interesting. Rubbed his head and gave him sugar water- Poor little guy. He did so well...considering the circumstances...circumcision circumstances...hmmm...now I am wondering what the root meaning of "circum" means...google?

I feel very blessed.

My boobs hurt.

I'm tired.

But this little baby boy is something else I tell you. So beautiful. I can't believe he is ours. What a gift. What is he dreaming and thinking about all the time? He has already gained 2 oz.

I will post pictures when I get home.

Everything is going well...but I'm at the hospital still...and the baby goes to the nursery when I want to sleep...and I get room service with good meals- my sheets are changed daily...so I think life will really hit when I get home.

I can do this...I can do this.

oh poor Ju Ju! Circum...around I think. Circumnavigate, circumference, Circle....yada yada.

And you're brave to witness it. I hid in the waiting room far away and made Jake stay. I couldn't even change his diaper for 2 days without crying. But I was crying a lot about everything, so take that with a grain of salt.

and what a bad feature on a hospital bed. you should complain.

Can't wait for pics!

Seriously?? It tells you your weight? Does that hospital have stock in anti-depressants? I've never heard of such a thing.

Regardless, I'm so happy for you.

Congrats! I didn't even know you were so close! Just thought I'd check in on you, been thinking about you lately and saw your exciting post about the new little one! I'm glad you're all doing well. Once you're settled in at home, we'll have to come and visit. Long overdue.

Congratulations on your new baby April!! It seems like forever since we have talked. I miss you!!! Your baby is SO sweet. I LOVE boys they are so fun. Enoch is 3 now and makes me giggle every day with the things he says. It is neat experiencing another gender and enjoying the differences. That is SO neat you felt your mom guiding you in the delivery. I hate to say it--but I do LOVE epidurals. Once I get them the baby comes in the same hour. I can't believe how luxurious your hospital is--don't love the getting weighed thing though--that was not thought out well. Anyway, you will have to visit us in St. Louis sometime-yes, we moved again. Missed the mission field too much :).
