fight for freedom friday

You live in America. The United States of America. You can't help it. You just do.

Some of us like Pop Tarts, some of us like Subaru's, some of us like Math, some of us like our neighbors, some of us don't, some of us grow gardens, some of us watch sports, some of us like to read, some of us are businessmen, some of us are homemakers, some of us watch American Idol, some of us collect milk cartons (no offense Dad)...

but all us live in the United States of America. All of us enjoy our freedoms together...and all of us will lose our freedoms...together.

Politics is not a hobby. I hate the word politics by the way. I think people say, "I'm not into politics" or "politics just aint my thing" is because "politicians" have sort of lost our trust over the years as they have made things more complicated, twisted, confusing, immoral, greedy- and people sort of just zone out after awhile. They could care less.

People could care less until their doctor comes back to them and says, "The United States Health care department sees it unfit and unnecessary to give stage 4 cancer patients any more chemo treatment. It is too costly with an unsure outcome of results. I am sorry." (in case you didn't know, this is in the stimulus bill)

I bet in a moment like this people would start paying attention...

Being an American isn't a hobby. It should just be a part of who we are. Equivalent to remembering to put on our underwear every day.

If you had any idea how passionate and involved the early Americans were about this country...they just knew how vital and important the littlest and biggest of rights were- they got up every morning, put on their underwear, and fought for liberty- keeping a close eye on government at ALL times.

Two friends of mine came over the other day and neither of them knew about the stimulus package or even the bailouts...and I was starting to explain everything to them and then I got the feeling like I was boring and annoying- so then I had to switch my conversation to hair styles, being pregnant, and recipes. (which is ok and actually fun to talk about) but still...

ok so have you sent your picture in yet? My last ffff talked about a uniting of people who believe in 9 certain principles.

The Nine Principles

1. America is good.

2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.

3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.

4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.

6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.

7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.

8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.

9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

Now to continuing the uniting- here are 12 values needed to be shared among us who believe in the 9 principles-

12 values

Honesty
Reverence
Hope
Thrift
Humility
Charity
Sincerity
Moderation
Hard Work
Courage
Personal Responsibility
Friendship

If you believe in these 9 principles and 12 values and want to be apart of a movement- where good people like you and me are wondering what in the heck is happening to our voice?? Then email your picture to the following email wesurroundthem@foxnews.com the email address has changed since my last post because too many pictures were being sent in and it ate up all the server space. If you don't know how to email a picture- just write an email-

March 13th on FOX News 5pm ET which is 3pm Mountain time- there will be a special program called 'We Surround Them'- and if you don't have cable- COME TO MY HOUSE!

I have always been passionate about our country, freedom, and our founding fathers. It started in high school when I was chosen from the junior class to go to Girls State. That was one of the most amazing weeks of my life and I learned so much about government. Being in Europe for a month gave me a new found love of America...I literally wanted to kiss the ground when I came home. I have a strong testimony of our country, the founding fathers, and freedom.

Even though I have said to you that politics isn't my thing I hope you don't think I don't love or appreciate our country! Or that I don't want to learn more. I do, on a regular basis. I just can't eat, sleep, and breathe politics. I think it is fabulous that you know so much and are so passionate about politics! And you are a good example to all of us April. I know what you mean about many people knowing nothing. If they really knew what was 'hidden' in the stimulus...what was about to happen...everything is going to be so slow and sly that it will be a big punch when there are huge problems all of the sudden. Most people can't see it coming.

See you tomorrow! :)
