i just love life right now

It's all fun and games until the girls get RSV...

and then I experience a new kind of Hell.

ok it's not that bad...ok yes it is. It's like war trying to get Julia to do her breathing treatments, there is more crying than I want, the nights are horribly interrupted, the snow is really getting me in a bad mood- go away please!, Chay is sick also, the house is a disaster, and if I watch another Disney movie...I swear- I don't like Disney cartoons I decided. I mean seriously, Ariel was only 16, her Dad was a control freak, Prince Erick was desperate...and does Ursula really have to die by having a huge sharp piece of wood gouge her through her stomach? Although I secretly admit that I watch little mermaid only for Ursula. How can you not watch her and not laugh...

ok well anyway- I'm surviving. Isn't this about the girls and not me? Oh yeah. oh boy- I still have a lot to learn...

I called you today and left a message to see how the girls are doing. NOT fun! RSV can get pretty bad and I know it's really contagious...do they have a bad case? I am assuming we won't see you at the funeral this weekend. Bummer! I hope the girls get better soon and you can get some sleep!

yikes! those breathing treatments are so torturous for certain ages. we had Cars blaring on the upstairs tv and lion king on the downstairs tv. so yeah - disney... not always something i want on repeat. I hope everyone gets better soon... and that you don't go too bonkers in the mean time.

Our youngest got RSV when he was a tiny baby and had to be hospitalized...they gave us some good ideas to help him out...first they said to let them cry through the breathing treatments because they take deeper breaths and get more of the meds...and they had us pat on his back for up to 30 min (if they let you) to loosen up the congestion...i hope they get better soon...good luck

Seriously?!?! I feel for ya babe! I HATE when my kids are sick. I go POSTAL! It is so draining.... I am so sorry. I hope it doesn't last long...

Oh ya, what the heck IS up with Disney movies? I love your take on Little Mermaid! LOL I love you! Hang in there!

I am so sorry, April! Isn't it strange that when they are well, we want them to calm and quiet themselves and when they are sick, we just want them to get up and jump around.

Is it evil of me to say that I kind of enjoy a sick kid? It gives me a chance to pay special attention to that one, they let me baby them a bit and I feel maternal. I'm sure that is weird. I probably shouldn't have shared that. Oh, well. Enjoy being the nurse and we'll pray that they are jumping off the couch soon.

Oh those pictures break my heart...plus I heard the screams that go with the breathing treatment. I'm so sorry your girls are sick! I hope they get better fast and that JuJu takes her treatments better so you can survive through it all!

Poor Kenzie is so sweet taking her treatments in her princess dress. Is she really still wearing that every day? I love it.

Hope it gets better! At least Kenzie will wear the mask - that is neat!

One trick I found out (you probably already know) is if you clean out the little 'bowl' each time you do a treatment, it will go much faster. I wasn't cleaning at first and it was taking 25 minutes plus to get a treatment done. Much better now!

Oh man! That is hard. So Julie is not in the hospital? You must have caught quick enough. I know that nebulizer like the back of my hand. I have MANY pictures of Haela with a mask on her face doing the breathing treatment--or in the hospital with oxygen on her face and I.V.'s in her arm. Every winter I wait on pins and needles wondering if she will be in the hospital again. I am SO sick of the snw and winter too. We need to have a spring fever party or something. Maybe if we learn a chant we can bring the spring on sooner. Sorry you have to watch so many Disney's. I think Ursula is great too. Hope the kids get better soon.

Oh April bless your heart. I just want to reach out and give you a huge hug. I am so sorry your sweet babies are sick. We love you all and are praying for you all to get better and feel better and for the stinkin snow to go away so we can have spring time weather.
Keep your chin up kid!
